Events at the Games....Dance Social Saturday night

Camp Norse …This is where the fun starts with Chariot racing, Trebuchet contest, Saran wrap races, Road relay races, Soccer, Pie eating contest, Frisbee golf, Jousting, Geo Caching, Bulls-eye shooting contest, Skeet shooting, Volley Ball, Axe throwing, Two man sawing , Text competition, and anything your crew can dream up and is willing to help run ! We are looking for crews to sign up early and help plan the events. The V Games aims to be a totally youth run event in 2011, so sign up early and help.

The V Games format has changed slightly this year. We have come to realized that some crews weren’t coming because they thought the whole weekend was strictly about the cup and because of size of their crew or the makeup of the crew’s members they weren’t interested in competing or wouldn’t have a chance to win the cup. So this year we changed the games slightly, most of the competitions are going to be just for fun and will not count towards the cup.  We are going to have youth and a senior division so the adults can also compete for the ribbons and bragging rights.  We plan on having shooting sports both handgun and skeet shooting, a golf pitch and putt contest, horse shoes, Archery, saran wrap races, road relay races, chariot racing, volley ball, pickup games of flag football or soccer, a text messaging contest, Dutch oven cook off contest, chili cook off contest, two man sawing, tomahawk throwing, trebuchet, and new to the games this year a pie eating contest. These are all invidual competitions for trophies and ribbons and will not count towards the cup. We are going to (4) competitions that count towards the cup. The (4) competions are going to be designed to represent the (3) aims of Venturing: Citizenship, physical and mental fitness and character development.

Crew Advisor- Chili Cook-off. To allow the advisors to test their cooking skills. We will be  hosting  the third  Annual “V games Chili Cook Off” This will give the old timers something to brag about over the next year. This is a no rule chili cook off, but please mark your turn ins
